Well, it’s been a couple of weeks now since I’ve written something. What can I say, I like to stay busy!
So what’s new?
I’ve had a little luck selling some of my old items at both the car boot and on eBay, I’ve got some new reading material, given the office a facelift and refreshed myself on what i think is the meaning of success.
Let’s start with eBay and a quick top tip – Get the financials right
You can sell anything on eBay. It could be something you don’t want, don’t use or maybe even something brand new, straight off the shelf.
If your selling for business, let’s take a quick look at the logistics…
– If you sell 1 item per day with £5 profit per item, if we times that my 364 days per year and we get £1,820.
– If you sell 10 items per day with £5 profit per item, thats £50 per day. Let’s times that my 364 days per year and we get £18,200.
Not everyone will agree, but if you sell quantities at a lower margin you could end up making more profit.
Check out my office!
This is where my journey began and this is where it will continue to grow.
New Reading material!
I’ve heard so many great things about both of these books. The most common recommendation is with regards to ‘Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill’. I don’t have much to say right now but i will publish a small write up once i’ve had a read.
We all want to be successful, but what is success?
We all have our own meaning to the word success.
• Having something to aim for
• Someone to share it with, and….
• That what you do makes a difference
Here are some of my top tips to becoming successful:
• Write to-do lists the night before
To-do lists seem pretty straightforward: A list of all of the tasks you plan to accomplish during any given day or week. And, really, there are few things more satisfying than drawing lines through each entry.
When you take a few minutes to write your to-do list the night before, you can hit the ground running the next morning. For many people, morning is a high-energy time and having your to-do list already in hand means you don’t waste any super-charged minutes figuring out what to do next.
• Wake up early
Some of the most successful people in the world are early risers. It’s simple, if you wake up early, you get more done. There are less distractions in the early hours of the day so you can achieve more with minimal interruptions.
Building a successful business takes a lot of time and drive, so it’s good to have a network of friends and associates to draw energy from and keep you going. By surrounding yourself with people who share a similar drive and ambition, you are more likely to move forward as a group.
• Set goals and visualise
Having a goal written down with a set date for accomplishment gives you something to plan and work for. A written goal is an external representation of your inner desires; its a constant reminder of what you need to accomplish.
Until next time!
Thanks for reading!
I look forward to hearing your feedback.
Quote of the blog... “Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don't let anyone limit your dreams.” Remember to ask yourself: Q: “Tell me was it hard? A: “No...” Q: “Tell me was it worth it?” A: “Yes...”
